I can NOT believe that Shae is graduating this year. It actually blows my mind. I remember when we heard that my parents were going to adopt a little girl, I had to keep her a secret for MONTHS!! It was incredibly difficult on my 7 year old self. I remember when I wrote secret diary entries in my Grade One class just to get it off my chest but at the same time fearing that someone would see them and discover my secret. I also remember telling my older cousin because I couldn't handle not telling anyone! It was absolute torture to contain my bliss. When Shae came home from the hospital, my heart fell in love with her immediately. She was my best friend from then on. I taught her all I knew, whether she liked it or not. Now, she is teaching me so much, whether I like it or not. She watched me play basketball and volleyball, always being one of my biggest fans. Now, I am hers as she pursues her dreams in sport. She has seen the worst and best sides of me, and I of her. I would not have it any other way. This girl means the world to me and I am beyond blessed that God chose her to be my sister. Thank you Jesus! And so after all of this mushy stuff, it is appropriate that I have Shae's Senior Photos as my first blog entry. I am excited to share this special session of someone who stole my heart a long time ago. Now... presenting Shae: an athlete, a world changer, my sister. Please comment on this post and share on Facebook. I would appreciate the love!
